Stages and Statuses

The Stage and Status columns help you determine the activity that has occurred with an Employee's Leave Plan.

Stage Definitions

  • Incomplete

    • The Leave Plan was created by an HR Admin on behalf of an Employee

    • Only some of the questions to create the Leave Plan were completed

    • A Leave Plan was not created in this scenario since all questions are not answered

    • Incomplete Leave Plans are always in Draft status

    • Actions available from the 3-dot (ellipses) menu for Incomplete Leave Plans are Complete Setup and Delete

      • Select Complete Setup to go back to where you left off when you started creating the Leave Plan

      • Select Delete if you are absolutely sure you no longer need the Leave Plan

  • Planning

    • A Leave Plan has been created and the Requested Leave Start Date is in the future

    • Planning Leave Plans can be in Draft, Invited, or Shared status

    • Actions available from the 3-dot (ellipses) menu for Planning Leave Plans are based on the Status of the Leave Plan

      • You can Invite an Employee to or Delete Leave Plans in the Planning Stage with a Draft status

      • You can Archive or Re-invite an Employee to Leave Plans in Invited or Shared status

  • On Leave

    • Displays for Leave Plans when Requested Leave Start Date is equal to today or greater than today but less than Requested Leave End Date

    • On Leave Shared Leave Plans can be in Draft, Invited or Shared Status

    • Actions available from the 3-dot (ellipses) menu for Planning Leave Plans are based on the Status of the Leave Plan

      • You can Invite an Employee to or Delete Leave Plans in the Planning Stage with a Draft status

      • You can Archive or Re-invite an Employee to Leave Plans in Invited or Shared status

  • Returned to Work

    • Displays for Leave Plans when today's date is greater than Requested Leave End Date

    • Returned to Work Leave Plans can be in Draft, Invited, Shared and Leave Completed Status.

      • You can Invite an Employee to or Delete Leave Plans in the Returned to Work Stage with a Draft status

      • You can Archive or Re-invite an Employee to Leave Plans in Invited or Shared status

Status Definitions

  • Draft

    • An HR Admin creates a Leave Plan on behalf of an Employee and has not completed all of the Leave Plan questions (displays an Incomplete Stage)

    • An HR Admin creates a Leave Plan on behalf of an Employee, completely answered all Leave Plan questions, but has not invited the Employee

  • Invited

    • An HR Admin creates a Leave Plan on behalf of an Employee and has invited the Employee to the Leave Plan, but the Employee has not yet accessed the Leave Plan

    • The Invited Date displays next to the Invited status and if an Employee is re-invited the Invited Date is updated

  • Shared

    • An HR Admin creates a Leave Plan on behalf of an Employee, invited the Employee to the Leave Plan and the Employee has accessed the Leave Plan

    • An Employee has created their own Leave Plan and has shared the Leave Plan with HR

    • If an Employee shares a Leave Plan with HR but HR Admin has not yet opened the Leave Plan or clicked on the shared Notification (when Notifications are turned on), then it will display as Ready for Review with the Shared Date

  • Leave Completed

    • If the Leave Plan was shared by the Employee and the Requested Leave End Date has passed

    • If an HR Admin invites an Employee to a Leave Plan that is Admin created and the Requested Leave End Date has passed

    • If the leave has completed before an HR Admin has opened the Leave Plan after the Employee shares it, the action icon displays with a status of Leave Completed and the Ready to Review text
