Creating a Sample Leave Plan

There are two ways to create Sample Leave Plans - from the left navigation menu or the Profile menu. Both can be accessed at the top of any page.

Create a Sample Leave Plan from the Hamburger Menu

Step 1. Click the hamburger menu on the top left

Step 2. Select Sample Leave Plans

Step 3. Follow steps 4-5 below under Create a Sample Leave Plan from the Profile Menu

section to complete the Sample Leave Plan

Create a Sample Leave Plan from the Profile Menu

Step 1. Click the drop down arrow next to your name on the right-hand corner to access

the Profile menu

Step 2. Select Switch Profile

Step 3. Select Sample Employee

Step 4. Click Start planning your leave

Step 5. Complete the Leave Plan profile setup by selecting the type of leave you're planning to take and details of the scenario you wish to model.

Using Leave Logic for State Leave Program Modeling & Education

Many Leave Logic customers have found it helpful to leverage the Sample Employee Leave Plan feature within Leave Logic for-

  • Modeling Leave Plan scenarios to easily address specific employee questions

  • A resource to stay up to date on new or changing state leave program

  • A tool for training new internal team members

HR Admin Users can leverage the Leave Logic Sample Employee Leave Plan feature, as detailed in the steps above, to quickly and clearly gain detailed information for leaves in different locations.

As an example, HR Admin users can create a sample Leave Plan to model a Maternity Leave in California and visualize how specific statutory benefits coordinate across programs.

Once a Leave Plan is created the Timeline view displays, from this view, click the Paid Benefits bar or the Job Protection bar for a more detailed view of that category of benefits.

To learn about the individual benefits represented in the detailed view, scroll below the Timeline to the Benefit Sources table. Click Learn More under the specific benefit of interest to read the full description.

Benefit descriptions allow you to dive into eligibility requirements, when and how the benefit can be used, expected payment amounts, and much more. You will find direct links to state benefit references to assist you in getting the right information quickly and within the context of very specific situations.

Creating Multiple Leave Plans

If you're interested in exploring or modeling various leave scenarios, LeaveLogic offers the ability to create create multiple LeavePlans.

Archiving or Deleting your Leave Plan

When you are finished, you can also archive or delete your Leave Plan.
